Fun with Freshly Made Sketches and ALTENEW!

HI all!

It's been while since I've done a challenge. This week's Freshly Made Sketches is a simple one so I thought I'd get it done.

This is made from items at the Altenew Secret Garden retreat. I LOVE all the retreats I've been a part of...haven't missed one since 2023! The products and the instruction is amazing at each event. All the products made are not available on their website...exclusive to the retreat. Great reason to sign up eh? This card was made with pieces I had over-created for the event, so essentially scraps! I love a blue and white combo....chinoiserie anyone?....so classic and chic.

First, the card base was ink blended with Altenew Arctic ink. Next, an A2 panel of card stock was covered with a thin swipe of Altenew Pearl Simmer Relief Paste and left to dry. Then it was die cut with a HUGE die that covers an A2 card front. Just STUNNING in real life. So shimmery.

The retreat had this gorgeous poppy die, but any of Altenew's floral dies could be used for this. The dies all have the key hole system which is genius...makes it so easy to assemble. Each layer was ink blended with more blues from the Glacier Caves ink family. Finally, the sentiment was stamped onto one of the dies with a stamp also offered at the retreat. That's it for me today!

Have a colorful day!
