Altenew 11th Anniversary Blog Hop Day 3 + Giveaway (over $3,600 in Total Prizes)

ree

I'm so honored to have been asked to be a part of today's blog hop featuring many of the company's design team! How fabulous are they?? Just to be included is a wow moment for me!

If you've been here before, you know how much I LOVE Altenew products! I am a former event designer and florist, and their florals are so beautiful! That's what introduced me to them, but the quality and diverse products are what has kept me hooked on them. I'd say that easily over 60% of my crafting stash is Altenew....I'm a fan!

For the hop today, I am featuring the Craft Your Life series, and I'm using the April set called Arched Foliage. The set comes complete with stamps, dies, stencils and an embossing folder, all you need is ink! That's the beauty of the CYL series, one-stop-crafting! I went a bit overboard with the creating for this event, and will even have a video on the how-to's for this set, so stay tuned for that. In the meantime, check out this lovely-ness!

First, the image and sentiment were stamped and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Next, the image was ink blended using the stencil with my new favorite ink combo, Pink Diamond, Magenta, Fuchsia, Dew Drops, Aqualicious and Teal Cave. Isn't it fun and unexpected? The sentiment was ink blended as well, to create an ombre look with the colors.

The image and sentiment were die cut and the image split into 4 pieces...yup 4! The pieces were used to make 2 cards, I'll include the scrap one below. The background uses the included embossing folder, which is a perfect addition to any crafters stash. Such beautiful texture to those bricks, so many uses for them!

Next, the branches are from the Branched Frames set I picked up from Altenew's in-person event Sweet Shoppe this past summer...SO FUN! Highly recommend the in-person experience...a few of the branches were ink blended with the left over ink on the brush to give a very light touch of color. Finally...I had to add my bling and their new Iridescent Gem Sparkles are so fabulous and sparkly! They fill my glamour girl heart!

Here is the card made with the scraps of the branches, stamped Arched Foliage and left-over ink on my brushes. Cute eh?

This is an unexpected color combo that I love...blue and orange. Using colors opposite each other on the color wheel make great combinations! They really push the boundaries and the result is eye-catching!

Now on to the good stuff......
