Hi all!
I've started getting back into the studio this last week, using crafting as sadness therapy. I even spent the weekend at Simon Says Stamps CREATE with so many wonderful people in Columbus, Ohio, which was nourishment for my little soul! It was a bit overwhelming to be back in the world instead of the homebody I've been for the last month. However, being around like-minded people has brought me so much joy, and I'm feeling empowered to get into the studio to be creative.
One of the most popular CITI's (make-in-takes) was the Spellbinders table with none other than Kim Kesti! I was able to chat with her for a few moments, but didn't get any photos...I'm terrible at that. Any-hoo...there's my segway into today's post!

I was blessed to get the opportunity to play with a few of the NEW Lisa Horton Summertime Collection items, and they are so wonderful! I adore with the Decorative Lattice die...it creates such a lovely background for florals. I'm OBSESSED with Trelliage decor in the home, and may use it in a new endeavor I have brewing...more on that another time.

Paired with the Stargazer die set, it's a chef's kiss in my opinion. I opted to make the lilies a white Oriental variety instead of the traditional pink stargazer...they're the same flower, just solid white, and they're beautiful! A touch of SSS Celery at the center of the blossom layers gave them dimension, and the addition of the little dots...similar to what you see on a stargazer....just added the right amount of interest without detracting from my vision. Peridot, Rainforest, and Fern are the perfect colors for the stems and foliage of the lilies.

Finally, the lattice creates the perfect window for a shaker card. The added iridescent sequins over the Mint background with the Dahlia frame are so delish! A perfect background for those lilies. Finally, the sentiment from the January Stamp & Die subscription, Best Year Sentiments, was added to restock my thank-you card stash.
Stay tuned for my next card...which I will be sharing later this week...using the Stargazer die with the new Ripped Edge Circles. It's adorable!
Have a colorful day!

Beautiful shaker card! Love the flowers!
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I did read your post on IG but wanted to share my condolences here instead.
So glad that you were able to get away to enjoy the big SSS event! Some day I hope to get to go... it sounds fabulous!
OMGosh! I was at CREATE, too. I wish I had known who you were. I could have met you in person! Your card is so pretty!!!
