Use up those DSP's with SOC!

Hi all!

It's time for another challenge with Sisterhood of Crafters! This time we are challenging you to use up those designer papers...we all have them...we all hoard them. Admit it....

I LOVE to collect DSPs, but very rarely use them, unless its for a Christmas tag...then they're my favorite! But on everyday creating? They stump me quite frankly. Just like this card did.

I had just received the Simon Says Stamp April card kit and thought it was a perfect time to use it for this challenge. The kit is gorgeous, lots of pretty papers, stamps, stencils, pastes...it encourages a mixed media approach with the items in the kit. Why I didn't go in that direction is beyond me.

Most everything in the kit was yellow...but I grabbed the pink washi as my starting point. Why? No idea. Perhaps that was my struggle? With all the pretty yellow things, I had a hard time seeing past it? Not sure, but a shaped card using PinkFresh Studio's Blanket Stitched Octagon's was helpful for sure.
