It's release day with SIMON SAYS STAMP!

Hi all!

It's another exciting day in the craft world, Simon Says Stamp has a new release called Sugar and Spice! I'm here to share 2 cards featuring the embossing folder and coordinating dies called Brilliant Ornaments!

This embossing folder is so on-trend with the repeat collection of ornaments... It's so cool, and it's great that it has a coordinating die set! I'm all for a two-fer... The raised parts provide the perfect place to use glitter pens for added sparkle and interest!

Untraditional Christmas colors are also on-trend, thus the colors used for this card. SSS Peony is perfect for a twist, and the added SSS Seafoam and Sprout are a fun complement to it. All the components were ink-blended to add color, with the background using a large blending brush for a soft, full coverage.

This card also has a fun fold; the rounded panel flips open, then the front of the card can be opened normally. That element was created using SSS Nested Circle Dies. The sentiment is also SSS called All the Joy, which was cut from white glitter cardstock.

This next card features the same ink-blending technique, but used minimally to keep the card simple. To add some sparkle and shine, the Altenew Gold Gel Pen was used for the decorative elements on the ornaments and tops.

Again with the untraditional color palette, it's fresh and fun! Each ornament has an ink-blended center with gel pen accents and is tied up with some twine on hand containing gold tinsel twisted in.

Finally, the sentiment comes from the SSS Circle Sentiments Christmas set with hand-cut, dove-tailed elements and heat embossed with SSS Gold embossing powder. The card was finished off with Altenew's Gold Pearl accents.
