Flowers with SOC and ALTENEW!

Hi all,

I am a flower-a-holic. Being a former florist and event designer for over 15 year, it comes with the territory. So the new Sisterhood of Crafters challenge is a perfect fit for me!

I recently participated in Altenew's Secret Garden retreat, and received the most beautiful stamp, stencil and die set called One Go:Friendship Floral. To say I'm obsessed with this set is an understatement! I hope they make more of these, because everyone should get the opportunity to play with them!

This particular set, looks beautiful stamped, or ink blended. I particularly like the mix of the two in a monochrome color...it looks like fancy china! For this card however, I decided to go a different route...

This card only uses the stamp and I opted to not color the blossoms at all! It was hard to refrain from adding lots of color, as I like to do, but the black outline really was pretty on its own. For the background, I opted to use one of my scrap panels I make when I ink blend. A quick run with an embossing folder presented the perfect background for the simple floral blossoms.

Once the blossoms were laid out and adhered to the front panel, the sentiment was added using the Creative Labels set...also from the retreat. The elegant font with the simple outlined panel gives a perfect finished and upgraded look to this simple to make card.
